Default How many bought a 9in housing and added a chunk?

I was thinking about buying a moser housing and just finding a chunk. I think its less expensive that way. Has anyone done this. Please let me know of the pro and cons.

I've got a Moser housing and a Strange center section. The aftermarket center section housings are nodular iron, much stronger than a junkyard Ford OEM.

I'm looking to do that myself. My friend did it and spent $1600 total for a 9" vs the $2000-2500 they normally are. Problem is finding a third member with the options you want. If I can't find what I need, I will go through one of the guys on this board who is not a sponsor yet.

I did it, I had a $500 used center chunk from another guy. Posi only lasted a year but it was a nice deal. This was for a Strange nodular center. But you can find a truck case and go from there.
