Default Missfire Missfire and MORE Missfire

Car backfires and missfires really bad and gets worse when you decelerate. If I gun the car it is fine.. as soon as I back off of her.. she smokes BLUE SMOKE, Smells really really bad and then "pops" a few times.. The light CONSISTANTLY kept blinking.

I scanned the car and it was the p0200 code. OPen Injector Circuit Malfunction.

What can be the problem?

A friend of mine thinks it could be the ground strap not being hooked up by my local mechanic during the trans swap.. could be an actual issue.. I dont know.. I have to get it on the lift to see.

A friend also thinks it could be the wires that go from the pcm back the headers. They have a THIN piece of heat shield wrap around them but maybe they got fried?

What do YOU guys think?

I know one person here thought it was the pcm getting wet because this is what happend to his.. Mine hasnt gotten wet though.

I had a bad spark plug wire and we had them changed out. Still same issue.

I dont recall any ground strap needing reemoval during a trans swap, and I have done 4 of them in the past 3 weeks.
I also cant recall the PCM wires going to the headers, unless you are referring to the O2 wiring harness?
PCM getting wet, well, mine gets wet a lot, but the seals are in tact.
There is a ground strap on the back of the drvrs head and then by the water pump on pass side, If not connected will wreak havoc! Sorry I havent dealt with this issue much.

thanks cat3

Yeah I found out there is no ground strap to the dipstick spot. I must have heard wrong.

The wires I am talking about go past the headers not into them. I guess 02 wiring harness.. Unsure to be honest. I will have to look deeper into it.

maybe the other ground strap came off of the head?

I dont know.. friday it goes in.. I hope it is a quick fix.
