Default NOS Pressure Guage leaking...help

I have a 5177 kit and I put the 15 pound bottle in my car on it's side to bring it home on it's first fill.

When I took it out of the car I noticed that there was an oily substance on the seats.

I looked at my pressure gauge and half the oil had spilled out.

There is a whole on the top of the gauge. Was that supposed to be plugged by something? Did the plug fall out?

If so, what type of oil and how much do I put in there?

The oil is glycerin. Made from animal fat. The reason being is it won't foam or bubble under vibration. The oil won't hurt anything either.

Call and they should take care of it. The plug is to hold the Glycerin in. It shouldn't have come out unless it was pryed out.
