so i might have a race coming up
This girl at work REALLY wants me to race her boyfriends mustang, she thinks it's a 97 and i got out of her that it over 500 HP i don;t know how much truth there is to that but it is supercharged. and she said that the only thing he has lost to so far is a supercharges chevel.
my question is, with the mods in my sig, plus a ls6 intake mani that i put on yesterday and a 100 shot of nitrous i am in the process of wiring up, can i take him? i figure i will be around 470 HP at the wheels if i get 100 hp from the N2O.
i hopefully will be running my friends DOT approved hoosier slicks

ya, he prob has 500HP at the crank, if that, its like "yeah, this one time i ran 11.2 on my DR's, and it was at sea level, and it was 40* out that day" you'll take him no problem

with an auto, cam, converter, headers/exhaust, and a 100 shot....you can take a LOT of cars on the street from a dig.....don't go from a roll, just a dig. Go for the 150 shot if you can...get good tires and bet the guy a couple of hunderd $$$...
A friend of mine with a 2000 TA with pacesetters/cat back, 175 shot wet kit, lid, and Nittos destroyed a very stout 2003 mustang cobra (ran 10's at the track all day long, nitrous, ported blower, 8.8 inch solid rear, MT ET Street radials, big fuel system, bit exhaust, etc....makes 550+ rwhp off the bottle (125 shot). From a low roll and a dead stop, the Cobra couldn't hook and lost by several cars, even though it is a full second faster (at least) at the track.

Go race him and find out. I know alot of girlfriends who talk alot of big game about their boyfriend's cars. Half the time they are repeating BS he fed her to look cool. Either way it'll be a good time, he'll either be stock and get embarassed, or he really is a bad *** and you'll have a good race.

wait everyone, remember a girl told him this, which means although it is supercharged, it probably isnt packing as much heat as everyone thinks....it takes a lot to make those mustangs fast even with a supercharger....i bet you win even without the nitrous because i dont think that girl would know what shes talking about

That same setup would be a good race for the original posters 350rwhp.
