Default Good News!!!!!!!!!!!!

My engine is ok! A valve spring broke and it didn't even drop the valve. It did slightly knick the piston on the exhaust side, but everything looks good.

I will replace my heads with NL's stock heads and some PRC Springs and I will be good to go again!!!!

I can't believe that with that sound it was just a spring!!! You called it right Steven!! Can you believe that Brian, you heard it too???

Well that is good news. Glad it wasn't anything too bad. You might be safer leaving your heads on though instead of NL's! LOL... I guess you will sleep better now.

Last Sunday I was driving my car and all of a sudden it started knocking REAL bad and tried to shut off. It sounded worst than Sly's did when his bottom end exploded.

OK, here are some pictures. We put some clay on the piston to see how deep the notch was and it is less than .020.

Just bad springs. They have been wearing for a while, none of them look real good.

It sure is, Awful noise!

Steven, those are the same brand of springs that broke on mine. There is no way I am puting those back on my car! We are putting PRC duel platuium springs on. The spring that broke was the EX Components singles. Suppose to be good to 620 lift. The lift on my cam is only 573/575! With about 9,000 miles on them. This is not good!

What springs do you have? Don't you have PPGold duels?

BTW, when your clutch is all broken good and adjusted, are you up to a little friendly speed competition?

I'm not sure. They are the one's Patriot put in their first heads. Whatever that was. They are dual, but thats all I know. There is no stripes or marks on them. And sure, but it's been awhile so I might be alittle rusty on the driving. Are you wanting NA or NOS? Cause my pill selection is alittle bigger now! LOL...
