98 Z28 M6 ragtop value
i'm looking at a 98 Z28 convertible, southern car, red w/ black top & dark gray leather and a T56. it's a 1-owner car (40+ yr old family-man type) with 104k on it, looks like it's been babied. not smoked in, the doors don't drag, bone stock, i'd give the original paint & interior 8.5/10, soft top is 9/10... what would your opinion of a steal be on this car? i think the guy's had it for sale for a while too.
thanks-

i'm in Texas. lowest trade in i found is about $6400, highest retail is $10500.
i offered $7500, he came back $8500, and i don't think i'm gonna budge. if he's the original owner, it's gotta be paid off by now. since it's been for sale for a while, i'm gonna let him stew on that for a couple days.

here's a couple pics. i'd really give the paint and leather more like a 9.5/10. it was lifted incorrectly once, which popped the quarter panel in front of the pass door, and cracked the plastic near the bolt hole, but still looks easy to fix. there are only a couple very small door dings, otherwise the paint is awesome. the headlights are a little fogged. the interior is a little dirty, under hood is filthy. top looks practically brand new.
