CommanderCamaro with a 98 Z28 Conv.6Spd-Ping anyone? 
Hey all, hope you enjoy your cars as much as I enjoy mine. I don't enjoy the pinging at 3K rpm but I'm finding that many of us have the same problem with these LS1 engines. I've noticed fixes from PVC valve replacement to cranks being spun around, to dirty valves. If anyone has a fix all let me know. Or let me know if all of the above is fix alls. I'll post some pics when I have them. Also, anyone have some suggestions on wheel size? I was going to put on some 18 or 19" wheels. It currently has 16". Too small for the wheel wells and I will be sellng the original wheels when I make the switch. Enjoy your cars...CommanderCamaro signing off...

been kinda hot here in San Joser. i've got a '98 too and had lots of noticeable pinging. especially with only 91 octane available. i set HP Tuners to turn on the fans much earlier the it rarely pings...even with the a/c on and some redlight races. you can get someone with HP Tuners for the same year car to do this for you.
