Default pacesetters vs. edelbrocks

i cant decide which headers i want. i like the edelbrock set up much more but im afraid that the stepped primarys and 3-1/2 in collectors will be too much for my bolt on car. i would also need to have them coated. the pacesetters are already coated and are just the 1-3/4 primarys which seems to be the popular choice. i guess my general question is will i loose power going to a larger header than what im going to need?

I'm going with the Pacesetters, if that helps.

just put on pacesetters, nice fit and tuck great. with a 3.5 collector, u would lose ground clearence imo.

Eh... I don't think you'll notice a difference between the two power wise. Edelbrock offers the fully welded ones now in both ceramic and ti-tech. I dont think the welded ones have the high velocity merge, not sure if they're still 3.5. even so... the y pipe chokes back down to 3" so as long as the collector is before the bump in the drivers side floor pan, it shouldnt really cost you clearance.

BTW, not trying to persuade you eather way, just speaking up for the edelbrocks since I'd like to see some more people try them.

Pacesetter. They are a really good header for the price, I am really happy with mine.
