Default turbo installed now running rich at idle and bov ?

Okay so we have finished the turbo install today got it running and now it seems to be running reallly rich at idle. I dont really mind it to much except it smells really bad. What is the deal with this before the turbo it did fine all still is the same but with a turbo now. Anybody know? Also should i have the bov flowing into the air or recirculate cause of the maf. It seems to be surging more and not as good as throttle response when easy into it or cruising. What could be the deal with that thanks for any help

The valve is after my intercooler before the throttle body and the maf is at the intake where the turbo gets its fresh air. Where should my maf be thanks for the help

Is your valve open at idle? Venting to atmosphere or plumbing back into the inlet path to the turbo?

if you're venting metered air that's the cause of your idle richness. You should be dumping the BOV back into the inlet of the turbo after the MAF.

If you don't have a recirculating BOV, the easiest is to move the MAF to right before the throttle, after the BOV.

So the maf can have boost going through it and not mess with anything? Is that how most ls1 guys do it when they vent the bov into the air? thanks for the help
