Question Ryan K ? for you

Ryan,
I saw on another board that you have installed a B&M shifter in your GTO. I got one this week and wondered if you had any tips or suggestions before I get stranded part way through an install.

Ya man, I installed it last friday. Its F'ing sweet. The install is pretty easy. There is a very good write up on LS1GTO.com. I used the washer trick, just enough to space the shifter to keep the gasket from crushing. Other than that, use lock-tight!

Do the B&M have stop bolts like the Pro 5.0? If so be sure to really tighten the jam nuts down once you have the bolts in the right position. Mine losened up once and for about 2 blocks everyone thought I didn't know how to drive my car because it kept popping out of second..

Hey, does you kit have studs and nuts or two allen headed bolts? THe new kits come with studs and nuts, if you have two allen heads, then you need to give B&M a call and get the new updated install parts...
