325HP or 310HP how to find out Hey, i was curious is there any way to find out of a trans am i am looking at is the 325HP or the 310HP? is there a way to figure it out by using the vin number? Or is there some other way to know?

depending on the year theyll do usually 300-305rwhp on 98-2000. and 310-320 on 2001-2002 vehicles. theyre underrated. i think its accepted that all model years put out at least 345hp/350tq flywheel. Id say its more like 350-360 depending on year.

The lower of the two numbers is the basic trans am rated hp the higher is the ws6 version. I thougt it was 300/320 fro 98-2000 and 310/325 for 01-02 yrs. I could be wrong though?

but the 325 rating notes a ws6 so check for the RPO code on the drivers side door. no WS6 code then its just a plain TA or a TA made up to look like a ws6 if its got the hood.
