Question Turbo Timers

Sup guys.. I was wondering if I get a turbo system installed, would I need a turbo timer? I know alot of ricers that have turbos require or recommend turbo timers but Im not too sure about muscle cars.

Depends on a few things.
Water-cooled turbos don’t need them as much.
If your running at full boost say at the track then you cant turn off the car in till you let it idle for about 3 minutes, the turbo will cool 100 deg. per minute.
If you cruzing at low to no boost you don’t have to let it idle.
Turning it off hot is no good for the seals I believe.
I don’t have a turbo timer, I'll like one, I just idle it for a few before I get out if I've been beating on it.
