Default HELP: I recommend cams to others, it's your turn for me...

Hey everyone. I seem to be decent @ recommending good cams for other peoples' goals and setups, but I am having a bitch of a time trying to figure out what to do for mine. Here is your chance to help me out, and tell me what YOU would do with my setup...it's a blank slate. Here's what I have:

1999 Z
-SLP lid/cai
-LS6 intake manifold
-!AIR/!EGR
-Pacesetter long tubes/ORY
-Corsa catback
-Fuddle 3800/2.2STR converter
-3.73's
-UMI PHR/LCA's
-UMI adjustable torque arm
-!spare tire/jack/rear seat

My goals are to make some BADASS power on stock heads. Dyno numbers are meaningful, but track numbers are MUCH more important. I want to be able to crack mid-high 11's with traction. Driveability is somewhat of an issue, but I have a good tuner who can hook it up for me. I don't want a huge lope, but a lumpy idle won't kill me. It has to work with my car AS IS....nothing's changing.

I can do off-the-shelf or a custom grind, so if you have any idea for specs, let me know. Please add any thoughts/opinions.

I would do something like a TSP MS3 (237/242 .603/.609 113) or G5X3 on a 114 on the high side or an FM13, G5X2 or TSP 233/239 on the low side.

You can see what I have already chosen...

First find out what are the shift extentions of your stall and then find a cam that fit those parameters. That is how you'd optimize your combo.
Custom cam will be the best. EDC perhaps

Haha...I just got done e-mailing him with the cam tech sheet. I'm considering him...wondering what specs he'll come up with for me.

I agree. If you dont want to change anything but the cam and springs I would do the build around the converter.
