Default torque converter

I want to buy a Torque converter for 2002 Ls1 camaro. What do i need to look for in a torque converter. What is stall speed. How much will it cost to get a torqe converter installed. How much time will i loose off my 1/4 mile time? Thanks for any help.

Depending on what torque converter you get, you could see anywhere from .5-1 second off your 1/4 mile.... but honestly.... .5 second is more realistic. My Yank SS3600 took about .5 second off my 1/4 mile. If you want the converter for a daily driver I wouldn't go any higher than a 4000 stall. Yank makes a great converter and I wouldn't have any other converter on the market.

a 3500 rpm converter is a great street/strip stall.
