Default Dexron VI has made it to (some) dealers...

After calling around, one out of five of my local dealers had Dex VI in stock.

Some had no clue, others knew but didn't have it.

So FYI, it is now out there should you want/need it. I'm doing my first trans service on the new vert and was holding out to use VI.

Peace.

Yeah, one dealer has it here, but i'm not shure if it's worth it at $4.85 a qt. I'll prolly do it because i'm going to do a converter swap this weekend, so i'll be dumping all the fluids anyhow, so WTF eh!

Talk to other dealerships. I live in the Detroit area and dealership part prices vary from 0-40% off list, as an estimate. Chances are there is at least one dealership in your area that will discount parts.

From my experience the less flashy dealerships in not the best parts of town tend to have better part pricing.

GMPartsdirect also has it, but you have to buy a case, and who knows when it would show up exactly.
