Default Do I need EIO for HPT?

I really don't want to spend more than I have to, so 500 was my limit, but I see the EIO is an extra 150!!! Rediculous I feel at least for a small add on.

My question is, do I need this? I want to hook up an LC-1 I want to buy, is there any way to do this without the need of an EIO??

You'll find that most of the ways to hookup the wideband w/out the EIO interface are difficult and not as accurate... it's possible to use the 5 volt reference for the A/C clutch (I think that's the sensor) but you'll need the custom PIDS that are in 2.0 first ... and even then I'm not sure how well it'd work

The EIO upgrade isn't really a small add-on , it's more expensive for the hardware since there are 4 inputs and 2 programmable outputs....

its not necessary but its highly recommended & makes the whole tuning process much easier once you get the lc1

when you buy an LC1 you get a software disk that you can log data with...
you can use it...but its not nearly as easy or as accurate sa just getting the EIO

The EIO allows 4 inputs and 2 Outputs
