Well...I had my Trans Am shipped from New Jersey to California. When it got here it wouldn't start. Then the driver of the truck in forms me that he had to put some gas in it.
I asked him why because is had just under a 1/4 of a tank left. I asked him what type of gas he had put in it he said that he did know.....what ever whas on the truck at the time. I asked for the keys and I turn the key to the on position to find out that they had put 1.7 miles on my vehicle.
Luckly my father was there with me or I would have gone crazy on that dude. I ended up having to tow my vehicle to the shop and proceeded to check the damage.
When I pulled the spark plugs they have fuel all the way up to the last thread on the spark plug. I drained the oil and there was over an 1/8 inch of fuel on the oil. So I put new spark plugs in and new oil and started her up and as soon as she warmed up she was dumping coolant out of the tail pipe.
So of course I filed a clam with there clams adjuster about 7 months ago to find out 3 weeks ago that it was denied by the trucking company. So now I have to go to court. The vehicle has been sitting this whole time because they have to have someone come out and inspect it when it is being torn a part.
After I found out that it was denied I decided that I would have a local shop tear into it for me so that when I go to court everything is documented correctly.
One thing though that we have notice by tearing into it that there was going to be a problem down the road for me anyways.
1) The sleaves look to be to short and you can tell this by the line that has formed on the piston skirt.
2) the #2 main cap bearing that looks like hell....it looks like coolant and load ate it up. Being that your #2 and #4 main cap on the ls1 motors see more load then the rest this is defenitely not a good sign.

I think that the sleeves being to short too did alot of the damage as well. Everything else seems to be ok. such as the crank and rods. I will need new pistons though. I think that if the block was honed about 5 thousandths that that would fix up those sleeve walls. If I am going to keep this block I think that the stoke is going to have to go to 3.9 or even stock for those pistons to stay more in the bore.

i dont see any problems with the sleeves or their wear patterns although overheating damage is obvious on the sleeves, and as for the bearings probable causes would be detonation, antifreeze in oil, or too much NOS.

The NOS has never been used and as for dentonation I wouldn't know this was my boy Chris's Trailor queen to car shows and that was pretty much it. When it comes to head gaskets I do think that Chris had a few head gaskets go out because the where crappy gaskets. Besides that the only other time was when I picked it up after being abused. I do have footage of it the day it was being shipped running fine and everthing.

Is there any other true engine builders that wouldn't mind looking at these for me and give me a better answer then the one I'm getting from the shop that it is at and that is that the block is flexing because it can handle the power.

That pretty much somes it up. The day it arrived it was no longer running and I ended up putting new plugs and oil in her and the she fired up long enough to dumb all of her coolant out of the exhaust pipes all over my garage floor.
