exports lights still being made
alright so my japanese guy just gave me the first 2 lights that he got in, both are drivers side lights, one is clearly used and in great shape, but the other one is brand spankin new, never been installed. It looks as if it was made a week ago or somethin weird like that, i'll probably be selling these if any one needs just one side for cheap, bt he is sending me a few sets within the month.. anyways i jusy thought a few of you would find it odd that i got my hands on a never installed light

there is no way that this light i have has been sitting around for years.. i will take some pics tonight for you to see, but it looks as if no dust has ever fallen on it.. and the material between the two lights seems to be different, camaro's are so unpopular in japan no one in their right mind would honeslty stock parts for them, but if they did i sure need to get in touch with that place!

If they are new, they'd have to be aftermarket. A lot of dealerships had them stocked, just like the dealerships around the US has Camaro parts stocked. If a Camaro in Japan, for instance, gets rear ended, and they have to replace the taillights, they need those lights to install, so they should better have them on the shelf. And while the Camaro isn't really that popular in Japan as they are here, there are quite a few in Japan, or else there wouldn't be an entire Japanese company that makes multiple bodykits for the Camaro (about 4 styles for the 93-96, and like 2 or 3 for the 97-02).

yea they probably are an aftermarket company, but my point still remains true that someone is still making them.. i wouldnt be surprised if body shops gave people the shaft and told them they had to use the newer style light due to the discountinuation of the other lights.. I know there are quite a few camaros in japan..i witnessed it first hand...first night in Tokyo I saw at least 3 ls1's and a 93-97, they just arent one of the "popular" cars

View the whole car first before commenting about the wing, overall the car is sweet and the wing (while not my favorite) works great at evening out the lines of the car with the high cowl.
