Cool Places to Visit in Los Angeles Hey guys,
I have a buddy that going to be in the LA area this weekend. What are some cool speed shops or tracks that he should check out? Or, if you have any ideas outside the whole Disneyland theme post them up too.

Irwindale is an 1/8th mile track that runs on thurday nights. Bob's Big Boy over in burbank is a fun car hangout on friday night. Not any crazy ls1 shops to go check out down here that I know of.

Race tracks....in LA? You must be high. They shut down all the local stuff in the 70's-80's. Irwindale isn't bad, but if you want 1/4 mile action it's ~45 miles to LACR (2900') or ~60 miles to Carlsbad (sea level).
BTW: I'm originally from Gardena and have lived in AZ for 2 years. I'm not knocking the original post. I'm also old enough to have gone to/raced at Lions and OCIR. I also remember hanging out at a Bob's Big boy in Westchester on Manchester Ave and doing quite a lot of street racing behind LAX on Pershing DR....Ahhhhh, the good old days.
