It is, but only if you tell people it's actually an SS. I had them on my 02 Z28. Didn't have the spoiler, but had a cowl induction hood. Lots of people thought it was an SS. When I traded it in, the dealership priced it and wrote it down as an SS . I didn't say a word.

it is and it isnt in my opinion...it is if she tells people its an SS when its not a SS....but since u just bought the car im sure no one would notice that it ever was a Z28...i say put the SS badges on i mean it really is in a way a SS just a clone.

The car is a Z28, not an SS. It's a no-go IMO. Having the hood and spoiler are fine, but it's not an SS so why label it as one? You may not claim it to be a true SS, but you are telling the world that it is one by the badges. I think some old school Z/28 badges set of an SS hooded/spoilered car much better anyway.

Who cares honestly? put them on there and tell people that you have an SS Camaro. If they are purists they will know the RPO code for it and ask you and you can just tell them its a clone. Its not like we are talking about a 69 big block car here that you are trying to re sell. You will just end up having an SS cheaper than otherwise.

I put the carbon fiber WS-6 badge on mine. Of course it is not the anniversary TA that it came on nor is it a real WS-6, I just liked the look of it on my car. So like everyone else says, if she likes it go ahead and do it.

coming from an actual ss owner, you can go ahead and put the badges on but when someone ask you if its an ss dont lie to them such say its a clone....i mean honestly thats basically all a freaking ss package is the wing the hood perhaps bilstein shocks and the badges.....but dont go around saying its an actual ss....it hurts my feelings.j/k

BTW- The only real fast way to tell thats not an SS is the Y2Y code on the door sticker.
Peace,

I'll give you this little bit to chew on: I have a vanity plate that reads "ITS A V6" on my SS (real - #2853). I've posted a couple pictures, and I've gotten some pretty nasty comments from some pretty fired up people. For some people, it is a touchy subject.
