there was a change in earlier blocks about cam brg size, which year is your block, (or casting number), anything beyound that, they can change bearings the same old way, banging the olds, bolt tighten the new ones.

also be carefull of the position which bearing in which journal (name?) the middle 3is different that the two in the extreme 1-5, and different than the others 2-4
if you already bought the cam brgs, check the numbers and in what position they came in the box, as you can see there are variances....
I bought new cams (made in mexico ) taking care of all measurements..... new block came with new brgs installed

I would like to know what is the correct cam bearing clearance for an LS1. I had new cam bearings installed in my new motor and it has always had oil pressure problems.
Is there a way that they can be installed wrong???
