Is buying a used cam recommended? Any possible problems?

LS1 cam, that is. Like a TR224 or F13 or whatever.

No real problems I have seen lots of people buy used cams. Just be sure to check things out really well. Ask to see some picture and make sure you get the cam card.

Well, yeah, I know that if it's in good condition then it will be fine. I mean, that's common sense. That's like saying if it isn't broke then it will work.

If lobes don't really wear out what else could be the problem? What do I need to look for? Is it risky or not and if so why?
