Default Broke a piston pin or a piston skirt?

Started my car up today and heard a slight knock. Think ball in a Ice Cream pail. At idle it is very loud once you get over 1200 rpms it goes away. Thinking maybe flexplate being cracked, but I have a TCI flexplate so almost no chance of it being that. Sounds like it coming more from the center of the motor under the valley. Dropped the oil and no metal shavings or big chunks..

Thing seems to run down the road good and has plenty of power with no knock retard at WOT. Idles good but makes the knocking noise.

So what do you think....
Skirt?
Pin?
Bent Rod?
Flexplate?

No piston slap car never had it....since I've had it.

Oil pressure is 40psi+ Could be a bearing but it's not a constant knock. I have had a bearing go out on a previuos car and that was way worse than this..

My mechanic found it. Flywheel bolts where loose. Have a TCI flexplate and the coating was wore off the Flexplate enough where the bolts are loose.

thanks to ramairws6 for finding it for me....

I just saw this post, but it's quite common on the TCI flexplates with the heavy powder coating. TCI has recently stopped the coating in the contact areas. It sucks doesn't it?

Figures that is my luck. TCI makes good stuff, but you have to screw with it twice everytime before it works.... Had issues with my TQ converter also, Kevin W. was very good to help me get that straight.

I am just happy it wasn't the motor....yet! Not done setting up the car for bigger cubes
