Need Help!!

Need Help!! Look at sig for mods. Heres the problem (plz excuse me.. im kinda poor at explaining things)...
Im stopped, the car is in "D" and I hit it... RPMs jump to about 3700rpms... and Im pulling strong, but at about 5500-6000rpms its like the car drops into neutral... and I peg the revlimiter. I release off the gas for a spit second and punch it again.. it shifts and goes fine through the rest of the gears. I have also hit the revlimiter punching it from 55mph. It only happens ocassionally. It dont matter if I just jumped in the car.. or I have been driving it for 30minutes. I already checked the fluid its good. It doesnt matter if the engine is hot or cold. I dont have the slightest clue because the problem is intermittent..
I will have access to HP tuners in a couple of weeks. Any help would be appreciated.
