Default 99' SS - NX directport, few ?'s about jetting and a/f

i got my NX dp kit from dave, i jetted it for the 200 shot, 26 n2o & 16 fuel jets. i knew it was pretty rich(safe), but i got it dynoed friday at JMS and the guy let off the kit at 5700rpms because it was so rich. it turns out that my a/f ratio was like 8-9:1, bottle pressure was 1000psi. running n/a it made peak power at 6500(at which i said to shut it down, it was steadily pulling up. TSP MSv3 cam). on the spray it only picked up 104hp, (running through a th350 and custom art carr 3400 stall) after talking to several people i put 12 jets in the fuel today, and it seems to run a lot better. i was told it should pick my hp up a lot and possibly 3-4 1/10's in the 1/8th. i have ran it just as it was several times, and it runs dead on 6.86's @ 101 1/8th mile, and a best of 6.79 @ 102.2 even running that rich.

any opinions and help appreciated.

my ? is has anyone dynoed their similar kit on an LSx car that made around 200 extra hp? also what was the jetting for it?

i did my NX kit with the exact jetting you stated and got 215 or so rwhp. I had a stand alone fuel system and set it for exactly what the jet chart stated...which was 40 psi I believe. If you are running LS1 pressure of say 58-60 psi you will be quite rich. Youll just have to jet accordingly to get Af where you want it if you are runnng that high of pressure. A stand alone fuel sytem is another option...you can set the fuel presure where you want.

SSwanner are you running a true DP setup or an NXL setup?

Jeff, Did you adjust the jetting while it was on the Dyno? If so what is your airfuel now? Yes your power will be way down that rich.

jamnut, its a true DP setup. 16 SS lines and 8 pirana nozzles.

dave, i didn't change them on the dyno because i didn't have them there and it was late when i got it dynoed, everyone was wanting to go home. i have been keeping an eye on my a/f and it seems to be ok.
