I have one of those scooters just sitting in my garage. My father-in-law's mom passed a little while back and I ended up with it. If you know someone who could use it: edlerly, injured, etc. it's yours free. You'll just need to pick it up. It does need new batteries, but they're just small ATV style batts.

my family owns a pharmacy and we loan out wheelchairs to elderly on a week or two basis. let me run it by my father and see if he is interested. btw- sorry to hear about your loss. hopefully we can help others through your loss
