pro 5.0 shifter install probs. Ok i just installed my pro 5.0 shifter with short stick. After getting it all together something isnt right, the shifter goes into first in about the middle where it would normally go into 3rd. So i tried turning the base around, but it seems it can only go one way with the PRO 5.0 engraving facing the dash forward. So any advice this is driving me nuts!

I'm seeking advice on the Pro 5-0 myself. I installed mine about a month ago, twice. There seems to be only one direction to install the shifter - with the Pro logo upside down. Unfortunately, at least in my case, the spring loading is now from the 5-4 shift. It shifts fine, but I know I'm not getting the benefits I paid for. I keep thinking I'll figure this out. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm.
