Default oil pressure increase

read a article in Engine Master magazine about putting a shim in your oil pump, behinde a spring. has anybody done this? if yes, did you notice anything different? this mod is to get more oil up to your valve train, then says to install oil restrictor push rods.would a ported oil pump be doing the same? any more info on this would be appreciated.

The shim goes on the spring that controls oil pressure and putting .080 in there will get you about 10psi more, it is easy to do and so is porting the pump.
