Default Dyno numbers inside

Just got back from the Dyno. 538Hp/453Tq. Refer to this for more pics http://photobucket.com/albums/y197/s...979/?start=all

It is a 385Cu. In. SBC. 4 bolt main. Crower rods, custom cam (282/286 adv. dur. .712 lift, lifters, and valve springs. Eagle cast crank. Jesel shaft mount offset rockers (1.6:1). Dart iron eagle 230cc heads CNC'd by M2 Racing (333CFM@.800). Professional products "hurricane" intake manifold and Harmonic balancer. MSD Pro Billet distributor, 8.5mm superconductor wires. Holley 950 HP carburetor.

The intake manifold is going to be port matched as it is much smaller then the intake ports. Intake ports on the heads match felpro 1207 gaskets. 2.28 in. x 1.38 in.

The exhaust was run through 1.75" primary headers. I believe mine will be 2.0 or 2.125" primaries.

I will have video up as soon as I can.

Well, the cam is certainly not small, its bigger, dur wise, than I had in my 421.

Porting the intake will help, as the air slows down when it goes from a smaller hole to a bigger one.

What rpms were those #s, also, when they flowed your heads, did the use a pitot tube to test port velocity?

The compression ratio is 10.3:1 static and 8.5:1 Dynamic. It is going into a 64 Nova.

I think the HP was at 6600 and TQ was at 5600. The detailed numbers are at my engine builder.

Looks like an awesome combo. My uncle has a blue 65 Nova SS. Yours looks like its in pretty good shape too. You don't see to many that are that body style that are in decent shape.

Yeah its a solid roller. The builder wanted to go to 9000 but I said 8000 was good enough for me.

The intake manifold is out being ported to flow better into the BIG head ports. When the manifold gets back I going to dyno it again.
