LPE2-3 cam with 1.85 rockers = .630 lift
with milled heads and did not need flycut,
but l have to caution you, the ONLY way to know for sure is to mock it up and measure VERY carefully. Sometimes the short duration cams will clear, but the long duration cams often do not.
Getting an answer online is NOT the way to find out.

Your thread question is worded improperly. Lift is not what causes piston to valve clearance issues, it's duration. Think about it: Maximum valve lift occurs when the piston is pretty close to the bottom of the cylinder bore...close contact occures as the piston approaches or departs TDC. Duration is what bites you in the bottom.
Maybe you should pose the question: 235+ duration cam people!!!!
Would you like me to change your thread title?

Are you sure you flycut .80" off your pistons?! Do you have stock pistons, and if so, what is the furthest distance you can flycut on them?
