Question brake caliper polishing

any one know how to polish calipers? i have a good dremel tool to do it with
i just hate the factory finish on them

I used a die grinder to get the surface to an even finish. Then wet-sanded by hand gradually going to a lighter grit paper. I believe I started with somewhere around 200, then went to 800, then 1000, then 2000 I *believe* Then once that is all finished, polish it to a nice finish with some metal polish.

The caliper is alum.
