Default vacuum operated cutout for turbo setups?

I tried this in the External Engine section with no luck, and it's more of a concern to turbo cars anyway...

I believe the new displacement-on-demand cars AND the c6 Z06 have a vacuum operated valve in the muffler that allows more air to flow when vacuum is reduced... or something like that.

Anyway, I am looking for a vacuum operated muffler or vacuum operated cutout that will open to bypass the muffler when I lose vacuum and go into boost... any ideas?! I want a quiet car but don't want the backpressure of a chambered or packed muffler.

Any help at all would be appreciated! -Dave

Sounds like something that would work with the E-Boost controller. If it can operate an alky setup, why not an electric cut out?

PERFECT.. the price isn't even that bad!! Thanks a lot! Wish it was stainless though.... wonder how long something like that would last in mild steel...

i have 2 on my car in the y-pipe. They open around 5 psi. I really like them. The first design wasnt as durable but the newest one is very good. I am pleased with them and would do them again. Even when they are open they are not that loud...very surprising.
