Tuning 1993 Trans Am w/ LT1 383 blower motor!!!
Hey Guys,
I have a question, I'm getting ready to start building my motor. It's a 1993 LT1, I'm planning on making it a 383 w/ a strong forged bottom end and low compression pistons to hold up to the blower. I think I'm going with an intercooled Procharger, simply because of it's internal oiling system. I really don't want to tap into the oil pan if I don't need to.
Here are my questions.....Will I run into any problems getting this tuned because of the speed density on 1993 models?? Will I have problems with tuning since it's a chip and not a whole ECU?? Does anybody know if I will have problems getting it to pass emissions?? I'm going with a blower cam from Comp or Crane, I don't care about insane lope. I'm just worried about passing emissions in VA.
Thanks in advance guys, I'm looking foward to your response.
