Default Revival options: LQ 6-liter for F-body, yay or nay?

Well after the untimley death of my LS1, I've got a few opportunities presenting themsevles, but the one that intruiges me the most is a low milleage '01 LQ4 I found through a vendor. The price is right and the motor is complete from top to bottom. Now my idea was to grab this motor, swap over a set of LS6 heads to bring the compression back up ~10:1, LS6 intake and a mild cam, finish it off with ARP rod bolts and a ported LS6 oil pump. I figure if the old motor made 356whp with bolt-ons, this one should hopefully be good for around 380+ depending on the cam.

So... what would YOU do if you were in my shoes? I don't see alot offolks talk about LQ's in F-bods, but it seems like a great opportunity to go 6-liter with a strong block and lots of potential. Yay.. or nay?

sure
iron block has a 60lb penalty i think, but no big deal unless you are a road racer or something.

can you use the LQ9 internals in your block and bore it over?

Not sure, isn't the LQ9 bore 101mm? If I remember correctly the LS1 is only 99mm and I don't think the difference can be made up. But regardless, I'd prefer an OEM assembled motor heh, don't trust myself quite that much yet

Actually its closer to 100 lbs
I blew up my Ls1 and put in a 6.0. made nice power but now that i'm REALLY into going fast i sold it and went back to aluminum 5.7. The 100 lbs wasn't worth the 18 cu in.
