Default Edelbrock headers overkill?

Will these not make as much power as other 1 3/4" longtubes on just a bolt-on car? I plan on doing a cam, just not for a while.

HP? I think the big tubes should make more. Don't think it would be worth the tradeoff for the torque and response you'll lose down low though. The Edlebrocks are tapered 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 so the loss down low might not be as low as a typical 1 7/8".
