Default Start my new job 12/22!

**** test & B.I. came back clean, but of course.

Got the call today they want me to start tomorrow vs. next Tuesday.

That's great news for 2 reasons:
1: Extra cash
2: Not unemployed on XMAS.

Now a dilemma, another company, a huge company, is in the beginning stages of offering me a job.

So if they do end up offering me a job & it is more $$ than the company I'm starting at offered me, which I believe it will be, do I:

1: Take it,
2: Decline it being I'm just starting at the other company or,
3: Tell the 1st company I just got an offer of $$XX & ask for more?

What would you guys do?

If you definitly can get the second job then tell the job now you got offered more so they need to pay up or you leave.

Thats excellent butch! Good luck on your first day!!
If the second job offers you more (depending if you work long enough for this company to know you are a hard worker), I'd tell that company that another one offered you more money and ask for a match or more. My dad did that when he was laid off, got a new job and got a higher offer. The company that he was with for only a month ended up giving him a raise even higher than the other company was offering . Best of luck to you and your new job!!
