Default 4.10 Gears

i recently bought a 99 C5 vette, i wanted to change my 3.42 rear end to 4.11's. i was wondering what effects it would have on the overall car, will my speedometer be off, and will it change my computer reads on the car? please let me know thanks.

if its a M6 you'll love it. If its a A4 its pushing it..either way you'll have a smile on your face when you launch into next week lol...as far as speedometer I am sure dealer can help out or some one with hp tuners or some form of edit can help too..overall effect will be joy!

I've got 4.10's in my A4 and I love it, but if you have no other mods, I wouldn't suggest it.
Now if you've got an M6, definitely go for it!
And yes, your speedometer is going to be off quite a bit, but that can be easily tuned.
And until you get it taken care of, your odometer is going to turn a lot faster, so if mileage is a big deal to you, I'd find someone who can tune it before installing the gears.

It's ok, it's not the first time that question has been asked...
4.10's are great for an M6 car, so yeah, I say go for it.
