Default Can I tap my oil pan here or not really?

I was thinking of tapping the oil pan about .5" higher then the top of the oil level sensor, and about 2" forward of it. This SHOULD put the oil return BELOW the windage tray and ABOVE the oil pan baffle. Since the pickup is under the baffle, as is the level sensor, figure this would make for a smoother return then directly into the lower oil pan itself. Any issues doing it there, bracing in the way, not thick enough (IIRC the pan is pretty much uniform in denisty), or am I just too far rearward etc? This would be on a friends STS Oiler!

That's where one of my turbos drain. The -10 AN fitting just clears the starter and i don't have any smoke issues on decel although i have a huge leak at my dipstick. I can't say for sure yet whether it works well or not since i haven't had time to work on the car but it seemed to work fine while i was driving it.

Cool, at least I'm not just going off on a whim here. Anyone else?
