Default 408ci

ok, i feel kind of ignorant asking this but since im somewhat new hehe. basically dont know what a 408 and wanted to know. Infact before this site I never even knew they existed buttttt, Is a 408ci a 350 that was bored out something? I would like to know. thanks mucho

In the LS1 worls it's a bored 6.0L block with a 4" crank (4.030 x 4).

a 408 is a 6.0 liter block with a 4.0 stroke. Here is the formula.
CID= Bore X Bore X 0.7854 X Stroke X no. of cyl.

So basically you have a larger diameter cylinder and the piston travels more creating more area to fill.

A bad *** block basically, dont feel bad bout not knowin wat a 408 is. Im sure as hell gonna ask a ton of cam questions
