Needing some of the wisdom off this board in helping to pick out the best turbo for my project...

I am not new to Forced Injection (I have built 1800 hp Blown Alcohol Engines) but this is my first turbo..

Due to a really tight budget and the fact I live in Alaska and it cost a small fortune to ship stuff here, I am going to need to use a big tuck diesel turbo most likely that I can source around here...Holset etc..

What I am looking for is a turbo that will give me around 550-600 rear wheel hp. from a GM 5.3 with lowered compression, small cam and bigger injectors, in a 2800# 1989 Notchback Mustang with a t-400, 4000 convertor and 3.23 gears...

Any ideas as to what would be a good turbo pick...?

i think they use garretts on some trucks if you could find a GT42 that would work great for you.
