need help w/ tuning..
for yall houston area members i need some advice...
i need some tuning for a 408 motor -
with places such as HPE and MTI so close is it worth it to tune the car yourself w/ programs such as HP tuners / ls1edit?
and how hard is it do for some whos never used one of those programs, but has decent knowledge of the whole concept and would like to learn.
there is a good possibility that the tune will need to be played w/ a few times in the next six months due to different modifications.
what program do yall recomend?

If you have some knowledge on the whole thing and you really do want to learn , there is alot of support on HP tuners (they have a forum) and people on there are helpful , as well as the Staff @ HP tuners .. For the same price as you can get set up though you can have some-1 with experience do it for you ..Plus you have to look at the fact that if you dont own a wideband to tune with thats another expense.. Most shops will work with you on retunes, tweaking it out later if need be ..
Price wise is going to be cheaper to let them do it , wideband and dyno time add up , and i beleive the software runs you 499.. something to think about ...
