Default Turbo size/spool question

I will be installing a sts kit soon on my stock bottom end, stock displacement LS1. I was wondering how the sts T60-1 turbo would act as far as spooling and how much HP I will ultimately make? It has .60 a/r compressor and .96 a/r turbine. I want to know how efficient it will be and cannot find a compressor map on this turbo so I can try to decifer if it is the right one for me, does anyone know where to find one? I want to make 500 rwhp and would like to be at 8 or 9 psi when doing so. I also want it to start spooling around 2500 and be full by 3500 (this is a street friendly car, not a full out drag car). I have LT headers, intake manifold, big cam right now, but will change it for something smaller and will be adding injectors, fuel pump, front mount, and methanol injection to support the 9 psi. Does anyone know how this turbo is different from the t67 offered by sts? Is there any more HP gain if you run the same PSI? What about spooling time? I am pretty new to turbo stuff, but am trying to learn as much as I can. I just want to see if this T60-1 will work for what I want or if I should upgrade to the t67 or something similar, or maybe even change the turbine housing to change spooling characteristics. Also does anyone know if you need a fuel pressure regulator for something like this? All help will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Two t66's on my 346.

Go big cuz you'll wind up upgrading down the line anyways.

I am considering a bigger turbo, but which one do you guys reccommend? It does not have to be the t-67, but I thought it would be a good place to start with.

Talk to the people you're going to buy the kit from. They should be able to help you out...I'm not real familiar with the rear turbo stuff but I'm sure it's at least a little different as far as area to radius ratios and what not.

I just want to know if the 500 rwhp at 8 or 9 psi would be possible with this smaller turbo. I am sure later on I will be upgrading, but for the meantime.... Thanks for all the responses so far!

I'm doing this from memory, so if I'm off a little, cut me some slack, OK? LongRange4U had TRTurbos (Billy May, Arlington TX) install his STS 60 and made something like 475 after a good tune. IIRC, he was running about 9 psi. He's close to dynoing his new upgraded T67 and expecting/hoping for 500+. HTH

I still have the stock T60 on my STS car, and with a 370ci, 9:1 motor, it made 530rwhp on 9psi.

I'm going to be going to a T70 or larger now and shoot for 700.
