Default Manual Rack install

Hey, anyone have some tips for installing a Madman manual rack setup?

For instalnce, how do I make sure the arms are centered within the rack itself before the install? Also, how far on do the bumpsteer rod ends need to be threaded onto the arms?

Anyone have some base measurements to go off of?

You need to take it to get it aligned. Without a rack you are only guessing.

I would say eyeball it to get it close then take her and get her aligned by a shop.

when installing mine i went lock to lock then split the difference-was like 1 3/4- that's center for the rack. center wheel and lock it. mine lined up easily. if not you can center wheel using toe adjustments when aligning.

the tie rods may not be equal to get 0 toe from each spindle, i think my right side had a few more turns out. need an alignment rack for that, or string out the car.

This is definently a quality rack/pinion. call madman if you have any questions; he answered the few questions i had quickly.

Yeah Madman has been great with support. He gets back to me within an hour no matter what.

For the bracket that gets welded to the k-member, does the bend go up or down?
