Default emissions

i have a couple of questions about Illinois emissions test. how hard is it to pass with !EGR and !CATS? also i hear you have to reprogram. now with the test, do they just look for thrown codes or do they also put the sniffers on? i no they had to put the sniffers on my LT1. do they look for the cats and the egr?

IL is OBD scan only testing (no sniff) for '96+ cars. You can pull all that stuff and have no issues passing so long as you get proper tuning.
