Default STS turbo hanging low to ground

So we are almost done doing the install. The only problem is the turbo is hanging maybe 2 inches from the ground. Any suggestions?

ITs all in how you mount it. If you havent already welded the pipe, loosen both housings and rotate them and the mounting pipe up as far as it will go.
This may cause issues using the STS exhaust pipe as the tailpipe may hit the exhaust pipe. I would rather alter the pipe and have the turbo high.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Also we just ran into the pipe that mounts to the K-Member bolt not matching up to the bolt. It is off by a few mm. We tried losening other pipes and I guess will just have to do that all of the way back. Any other suggestions or similar occurances?

i used his hangar idea. i just added a stud and 2 nuts, 2 washers and 2

wearable fiber discs to my turbo and bought a normal exhaust hanger from

Oreilly's auto parts.

and my turbo is a 1/2" from the sheild on the turbo assemblies highest point

the oil check vavle fittings. and the turbo still has a little freeplay to move

incase i hit some rough roads.

heres my cheesy diagram
I
I
------ } [ I I I [ }

stud into turbo then a nut to hold thehousing, then astainless washer then a wearable fiber washer then hanger then a wearable washer then a stanliss washer and followed buy a locking nut tighted up just a little

it makes no added noise and my turbos up where it belongs
