I dont know which one to get.I have 2.73 right now and dont really like them.Im still going tokeep the 2800 stall.do all I need is the ring and pinion and oil.what if I dont get the thick gears for a 2series carrier what do I need and how many tenths do you think I will knock off.

If youre an auto get 3.73s. I have Richmond's and they whine but that all really depends on how they are installed. While you are changing the ring and pinion I would recommend getting a solid pinion spacer (Ratech) which replaces the crush sleeve and makes it stronger. A TA girdle and stud kit would give a little added security as well but a lot of autos are in the 11's with the stock 10 bolt. OEM gears are not as thick as most aftermarket and are supposed to be quieter due to no nickel in them but you also sacrifice a little strength. Anyways, I hope this helps.
