Default Cheapest place to buy cats??

Lil bro is running the Pacesetter long tubes and ORY with the TSP Rumbler exhaust. He needs to install a cat to pass emissions first off, and secondly to keep the sound bearable. I've heard horror stories about LTs, ORY, and the rumbler. Anyone got any good reccomendations? BTW....car is a 94 Single cat LT1 car.

Or for the absolute highest flowing available look at RandomTechnology 7000's. Whatever you go with Speed Inc will price match, fyi...

Do those hi-flow cats allow more rasp than normal cats?

Nope, zero rasp. And some of the best sounding exhausts I've ever heard on an LS1 feature these cats (mine included). I'll be posting sound clips soon.

edit: And I'm sure they'd work well on your bro's LT1...
