Red face Pass O2 pops and fries wires

What the hell is this? LTs have been on for about a month now and no problems while my duals were being built. I just got tuned yesterday and this started happening. I replaced my fried pass O2 today, started the motor, 2 seconds later "POP" and I smell burning. Not only were the wires fried but the jacket was split wide open. ANyone else had this? Will the rear vette O2s fix this? WTF?

sounds like you have some other problem that is causeing them to pop. Maybe a problem with the heater circuit that is over loading them. hard to say with out looking at it

Did you extend the wires yourself, or buy extension harnesses? I ask because it could be possible that you have the wiring wrong.

I used entensions. I think I may have grounding from the main harness in the engine bay. My MAF fuse had blown before the O2 popped.

Ok, all harnesses clear but the primary is touching the k-member. Will that cause a short?
