Default Thoughts on Mac cat-back

What do You guys think about the Mac cat-back exhaust system? I have one on My '97 T/A that came with the car when I bought it. To Me, it sounds pretty good at part throttle but not so good at WOT. Just like a Slowmaster.

I've never heard a mac catback on an lt1. But for slowmaster, it sounds freaken amazing to me and everyone I know especially at full throttle.

Never heard one before, knew they made them though. I had a crapmaster on my LT1, that peace of crap broke at the welds where the pasenger side tail pipe goes on, cause a huge hole, sounded mean as hell though.

Then you must have never heard a BORLA or GMMG at wot, they sound freakin amazing. The slowmaster just sounds like crap at wot. All the other 905,456,253,234,543,989,578,452,137,468,868,128,88 9,567,453,505,340,323,127,432,879,453 cars out there with slowmaster sound the same. Let me guess, You also have cut outs, huh. Flomaster is like the first mod kids do to thier cars and think they are modded.

i had mac, i thought it sounded pretty good. kind of had a mustang tone to it.

once i gutted my cat though, man it sounded like a truck. the resinator tips needed to go.

put a flowmaster muffler on after that. sounded good again

i've never liked the borla, gmmg, slp loud mouth... they all just sound like a over price cut out.

if your looking to change i would go with either mufflex(best sounding) or slp 2 on the left.

hooker is also a cheap option.

I heard borla and GMMG. GMMG is IMO best catback sounds so good but borla i dunno i wasnt impressed when I heard it but really not bad at all. I also like the SLP loudmouth. My flowmaster sounds so mean and deep on WOT def sick. Mine sounds louder and much better than my friends '97 Camaro and I believe we have the same american thunder catback, makes no sense. And no I got no cutouts and I havent gotten my LT's and ORY installed yet so I dunno how it will sound then but obviously better. Just my 80 series catback. Excuse me for being 16 years old and not being able to afford a $700plus exhaust system and not knowing nearly as much about LT1's as I do now. And yea that was actually my first mod that I did when I was 16 last year and it is a mod any exhaust is. Modded is when you have more than one bolt-on. It was also a great mod cause I am very happy with the system only downside thats its not stainless but I could care less since I will just switch to GMMG if/when it rots in 7 years, I prolly wont even have the car then.
