Minimum cam dowel pin length?

Minimum cam dowel pin length? I reviewed the other threads on this topic, but could not find the minimum length for the cam dowel pin. My Comp Cams stick measured at .578, from the cam face to the pin. Is this enough or do I need to R & R the pin off the factory stick?
